Trivia

Trivia and Quotes

Trivia
  • The Mutant Enemy animated character/logo at the end of each episode normally says "Grrr. Arrggh" but the animation changes in six episodes. For example, in the final episode Chosen (see page 8) it turns to the camera and makes a face. At the end of Season 2, the animation says "I need a hug".
  • The opening line "In every generation, there is a Chosen One. She alone will stand against the vampires..." becomes increasingly inaccurate as the series continues. Kendra and Faith are introduced as Slayers in Season 2 and Season 3.
  • The term Buffster, was first used by Xander in Season 3 (see page 4). Xander also coined the term Scooby Gang in Season 2.
  • Buffy creator Joss Whedon`s favourite episode is Innocence (Ep 14 in Season 2). That`s the episode after Buffy and Angel sleep together and Angel turns bad (for the first time).
  • Harmony and Angel are the only characters to appear in the first pilot episode of Buffy and in the last episode of Angel
  • Buffy`s favourite stake is called Mr Pointy and was given to her by Kendra.
  • Money was tight for Buffy Season 1 so the same High School corridor was filmed in different ways and from different angles.
  • The main villain in each Buffy season is called the Big Bad. In order, they were The Master, Angelus (and Spike), The Mayor, Adam, Glory, Evil Willow and The First. The phrase "Big Bad" was first used by Spike in Wild at Heart (Ep 6 in Season 4).
  • Xander appears in every episode except one (Conversations with Dead People, Ep 7 in Season 7). After Buffy and Willow, Xander is the character who has appeared most
  • Sarah Michelle Gellar originally auditioned for the part of Cordelia - and Charisma Carpenter auditioned for the role of Buffy.
