  • Frank Coghlan Jr. is in studio records/casting call lists as "Fourth Classman," but he was not seen in the movie.
  • The play opened on Broadway in New York City, New York, USA on 16 December 1936 and closed in May 1938 after 577 performances. Eddie Albert originated his movie role as Bing Edwards in the play. The opening night cast also included Frank Albertson as Billy Randolph, Wyn Cahoon as Joyce Winfree, José Ferrer as Dan Crawford and Ezra Stone as Misto Bottome.
