I`m proud to say that PFC. John Rivers who was in the machine gun nest with Lee Diamond and Al Schmid is my Uncle. It`s a shame that neither of the other men with Schmid are given credit for their contribution to this first U.S. victory in WW2.

This is my favorite movie of all time! I started watching it while living in Hollywood in the 1960`s....fell in love with it. The love story is just the best. Ms. Parker was superb in this film.
