Bob did change a few of the lyrics but decided against taking songwriting credit. Which later he said he wish he had added his name so he could have gotten the royalties for the publishing rights!

He and the Silver Bullet Band won a Grammy for Best Rock Duo or Group Performance in 1980.

His song "Like A Rock" was used for many years as theme music for Chevrolet truck commercials.
