It`s like I`ve experienced quite a weird and unusual life, you know, being with a mom who`s a single parent and struggling with money and things like that. It`s really hard. And it brings a lot of other insecurities in life and a lot of other issues in life, in school and a bunch of other things."

We bumped into each other while shopping in LA and she invited me to one of her rehearsals. So I went and it was great. Courtney was fun. She`s cool. She`s a very passionate and intense person and she actually reminded me of my mom, so I felt very at home.

My old life is still my new life cause I`m still the same gal! (On her new life as a rock star).

When you`re young you don`t think, `This person is going to change your life.` But when you start recording your own songs, it comes back and reminds you.

I get my clothes in vintage stores! I love puma jackets, and I love my converse shoes. I love Levis, and diesel jeans! I don`t shop at Roots Canada! (On where she shops).

I think I went through puberty. I`m, like, 20 now and I was, like, 17 then, ... You know, I`ve experienced different things and am having a lot more fun with it.

In the booth where I was singing, I had inspirational posters up: Coldplay, Jeff Buckley, the Vines, Judy Garland, and of course, Nirvana. I felt like, they`ve done it, and now I`m doing it. It gave me an extra boost. (On who inspires her)
