I think women are afraid to say that they don`t want children because they`re going to get shunned. But I think that`s changing too now. I have more girlfriends who don`t have kids than those that do. And honestly? We don`t need any more kids. We have plenty of people on this planet.

Acting is something different to everybody. I just know that if you watch an actor or actress getting better and better, I think that`s them just understanding themselves better and better.

Script for an actor is like a bible. You carry it with you, you read it over and over, you go to your passages.

Oftentimes, in fact I think this is to my fault, I look at usually scripts as a whole. I should probably pay more attention to the character that I`m going to play and what they do.

I go, `God, you know, it all sounds so familiar. I know what you`re saying, I really do. I just cannot respond to you back in Spanish. I can barely speak English properly.` I didn`t grow up in a Cuban or Latin community. I grew up in Southern California on the beach, basically. And I`m third generation. One thing I realized from Julia [Roberts, _My Best Friend`s Wedding (1997)_ co-star] - which I knew before, but was made very clear - is that when you`re the star of the film, the crew looks to you to set the tone of everyday work. So when you come into work, whatever it is that you`re giving off, that is what the tone is going to be for the working conditions.

I mean, I can get things done if I need to, but I can really be completely irresponsible and procrastinate until the very, very, very bitter end. In fact, sometimes I work better under pressure.

Everybody thinks I`ve surfed my whole life, but I just picked it up. Probably because I grew up in California, people think I`ve always done it, but we would only go to the beach in the summer. My folks worked full time so we would take the bus to the beach and we`d hang out there all day. I never surfed because I didn`t have anybody to teach me how to and I didn`t have a surfboard, but I bodysurfed all the time

Cameron: Tabloids don’t sell movies or help anyone’s career. If that were true, every Lindsay Lohan movie would open to $80 million

Cameron: (declaring she thinks sex holds the key to all of life’s problems) Sex is the most amazing stress-reliever. I think it’s the best thing for everything. It should be 100 per cent part of everyone’s life on a day-to-day basis. We’d all be a lot happier! I love to get my heart rate up and I love sweating. Sex is undoubtedly the best way to do that!

Cameron: (on being involved in the "Shrek" movies) I like being a part of something that has such integrity, that delivers a message as well as providing entertainment, that pushes the limits every time, particularly with technology. Every time they deliver something new and better than they did before, so just being a part of that is really wonderful
