Tim Kang is a Korean American film and television actor. He was born Yila Timothy Kang on March 16, 1973, in San Francisco, California. Kang is currently a series regular on CBS`s The Mentalist, and has appeared in the 2008 film Rambo and also on TV shows such as The Office, Chapelle`s Show and Monk. He has also appeared in many TV commercials (including Shell Oil Company and AT&T). Kang holds a BA in Political Science from the University of California at Berkeley and an MFA from Harvard University.
