Short Biography

Was the leading contender for the role of Scarlett O`hara in the 1939 classic Gone With the Wind. Her inability to produce a marriage certificate to prove she and Charles Chaplin were married, and appearance of Vivien Leigh on the scene lost her the part. She was lifelong friends with Jinx Falkenburg,Veronica Lake, Evelyn Keyes and Joan Crawford.
