Short Biography

Weatherly was born in New York City and raised in Fairfield, Connecticut by wealthy parents, Patricia, a hospital administrator, and Michael Manning Weatherly, Sr. His father cut him off from his inheritance when he decided to pursue acting. According to him, he has eleven siblings (one of whom is the mother of actress Alex Breckenridge), though his only full sibling is his brother Will. The rest are either half- or step-siblings, as both of his parents are married for the third time. His father became wealthy from importing Swiss Army Knives. He graduated from Brooks School in North Andover, Massachusetts in 1986. Subsequently, he spent some time in Paris at the American University of Paris.

He starred in Dark Angel for the two seasons it was on the air. In 1998 he starred in Significant Others on television with Jennifer Garner. The show only lasted for six episodes.

Weatherly is currently starring as Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo on NCIS.

He was a guest presenter at the Australian Logie Awards of 2007 on 6 May 2007 and was a guest on Rove Live.
