Short Biography

William John Paul "Liam" Gallagher is the lead singer and occasional guitarist of the British rock band Oasis. One of the figureheads of the 1990s Britpop movement, Gallagher`s erratic behavior, distinctive singing style and abrasive attitude have been the subject of commentary in the press. He remains one of the most recognisable figures in modern British music. Although his brother Noel Gallagher writes the majority of the band`s songs, in recent years Liam has increasingly developed himself as a songwriter, and has contributed songs for the group`s most recent albums. Tom Meighan has described him as the last genuine rock star there is.
