Short BiographyJensen Ross Ackles was born on March 1st 1978 in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Dartmouth Elementary School in 1990, Apollo Junior High School in 1993, and Lloyd V. Berkner High School in Richardson, Texas in 1996. He planned to study sports medicine at Texas Tech University and become a physical therapist before moving to Los Angeles but ended up choosing acting as his career.In 1996, Jensen appeared in several guest roles on Cybill, Sweet Valley High, and Mr. Rhodes before joining the cast of the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives as Eric Brady in 1997. In 1998 He won a Soap Opera Digest Award for Best Male Newcomer and went on to be nominated in 1998, 1999, and 2000 for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series for his acting in Days of Our Lives. In 2000, Jensen departed Days of Our Lives, appearing in the mini-series Blonde about the life of Marilyn Monroe. In 2001 he appeared in a guest role on the James Cameron television series Dark Angel on Fox, during its first season as Ben. His character died after just one episode, but Jensen returned to the show as a series regular in the second season as Ben`s twin, Alec, until the shows cancellation in 2002. In 2003, Jensen joined the cast of the WB`s hit show, Dawson`s Creek during the final season, playing C.J., Jen Lindley`s lover. Jensen then became a regular on Smallville in 2004, playing Jason Teague, the romantic interest of Lana Lang and also done a short film The Plight of Clownana (2004) as well as had a lead role in the film Devour (2005). He currently stars as Dean Winchester along with Jared Padalecki who stars as Sam Winchester on the CW`s Supernatural. In the break between filming Season One and Two of Supernatural, Jensen filmed the independent movie Ten Inch Hero (2007). And during the hiatus between Season Two and Three of Supernatural, Jensen appeared as Lt. Kaffee in Aaron Sorkin`s play A Few Good Men (June 5-10, 2007) alongside Lou Diamond Phillips at the Casa Maņana Theatre, in Fort Worth, Texas Jensen has also modelled in fashion shoots for Men`s Fitness (October 2006) and Hollywood Life (June 2007), and has recently played the lead character, Tom Hanninger in a remake of the 1981 horror film, My Bloody Valentine. He shot the movie in the summer hiatus between Seasons Three and Four of Supernatural, which was released on 16 January 2009. He is currently dating Danneel Harris.
