Short Biography

Allison Mack is a German-born American actress, currently starring as Chloe Sullivan in Smallville.

Mack was born in Germany to American parents, Mindy and Jonathan Mack. Her father was an opera singer performing there. The Mack family moved back to the United States when she was two years old.

She began her acting career at the age of four in commercials for "German Chocolate." Mack then went into modeling for a short period because her mother thought she "looked cute in clothes." She began studying at The Young Actors Space in Los Angeles when she was seven.

Her first major TV role came in an episode of the WB series 7th Heaven, in which she gained a lot of attention playing a teenager who cut herself. In 2000, she starred in two short-lived series, Hiller and Diller and Opposite Sex. She also starred beside Sam Jones III in an R. L. Stine miniseries The Nightmare Room. Her filmography includes Eric Stoltz`s directorial debut My Horrible Year!, in which she plays a girl having great difficulties in her life as she turns sixteen, and Camp Nowhere.

Mack stars as Chloe Sullivan, Clark Kent`s best friend, in the CW hit series "Smallville".

In the summer of 2006, Mack`s voice was heard as the sister of the main character in the Warner Bros. CGI movie The Ant Bully. That year she also provided the voice of a museum curator named Clea in an episode of The Batman (who bore a deliberate resemblance to Mack).

Mack and co-star Kristin Kreuk have become close friends. Allison is also an accomplished dancer and singer, and currently lives in Vancouver. She enjoys reading, going to movies and plays and spending time with her friends and family. Allison`s engagement to her long-time boyfriend Peter (who is in the band "Leisure") was announced in 2003, but the current status of their relationship is unconfirmed.

Now beginning her sixth season on the acclaimed drama "Smallville", Allison Mack stars as Chloe, The Daily Planet`s newest and most eager journalist, and longtime friend and confidante to Clark Kent (Tom Welling).

Mack also starred in Showtime`s critically acclaimed feature "My Horrible Year!" This story follows the intricate and turbulent life of a teenage girl as she turned 16.

Since beginning her career at age 4 in her first commercial for German Chocolate, Mack has continued to be a busy working actress with an impressive roster of television roles. She garnered much attention for her portrayal of a teenager who abuses and inflicts wounds to her wrist on "7th Heaven". In the fall of 2000, Mack starred in The WB`s "The Nightmare Room", and "The Opposite Sex", as well as a recurring role in "Evening Shade". Allison also starred in Disney`s feature "Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves" and "Camp Nowhere".

An avid fan of musical theatre, Mack`s talents extend beyond film and television. She received rave reviews for pulling double duty, both as a choreographer and performer, in "Rent" and "Chicago". As a result of those performances, Mack was offered the chance to make her directorial debut with Jer Bear Productions` staging of "Hair". Rave reviews from LA Weekly, Backstage West, The Tolucan Times and The Burbank Times all attest to Allison`s diversity in the entertainment field. Music and dance, as much as acting, remain a passion for Mack.
