Short Biography

1964 : Born in Southern California to Italian-American and Hungarian American parents, given no middle name, the first in a long line of parental neglects.

1964 - 1972 : Childhood marked by his parents divorce, remarriages, and yelling of "freak out" by mother while locked in her room, stoned on marijuana. Time passed by watching black and white television and being assaulted by others parents.

1976-1978 : Attends Walter Reed Junior High School and plays Pop Warner football, the games of which his father does not attend, a pratice he would continue into high school.

1978-1982 : Attends North Hollywood High School along with future stars such as pornstar Christy Canyon, Dazed and Confused actor Sasha Jenson, and celebrity sibling Beth Ringwold, to whom Adam loses his virginity at the age of 16. Captain of the football and grill attendant at McDonalds during this time.

1980s : A short stint at carpet cleaning followed by years of mostly construction and carpentry and a failed attempt to break into comedy.

early 1990s : Meets obscure radio personality Jimmy Kimmel while working as a part time boxing instructor due to Kimmel needing said instruction for an on-air bout he was to have. The 2 become friends and Kimmel soon brings Carolla into the world of radio where Carolla would work ever since.

October 1995 : Carolla joins the longrunning radio show Loveline alongside Dr. Drew Pinskey and his then co-host Riki Rachtman. Rachtman soon quits the show and Pinsky/Carolla soon oversee an explosion in popularity and fame of their program, being syndicated nationally to number 1 ratings and turned into an MTV television version that would air from 1996 to 2000.

1999 : Carolla and Kimmel create "The Man Show" and star in 100 episodes before departing in 2003, in part due to Kimmels ABC late night talk show being given the green light.

2002 : Kimmel and Carolla premiere Crank Yankers, another half hour comedy central hit.

2005 : Adam stars in "The Adam Carolla Project" a home improvement documentary show on TLC, and "Too Late with Adam Carolla" a short-lived late night Comedy Central television attempt for the timeslot after the Daily Show.

November 2005 : Adam departs Loveline in order to accept a deal to take over west coast stations of the Terrestrial-radio-departing Howard Stern, a friend of Carolla`s.

January 2006 : Begins hosting duties on "The Adam Carolla Show" on "Free FM" radio. Show developes a niche fanbase before being given a corporate overhaul and infected with sure-to-be-dispised-by-Carolla blowhard Danny Bonaduce.

May 2007 : Carollas semiautobiographical sports comedy film "The Hammer" premieres at the Tribeca film festival.
