	Victor Salva Biography
Victor Ronald Salva[1] (born March 29, 1958) is an American film director, mostly of horror movies. His body of work includes the films Powder and Jeepers Creepers. His work is often overshadowed by his conviction for sexually molesting a 12-year-old child actor Nathan Forrest Winters. Salva pleaded guilty in 1988 to five felony counts of child sex abuse; he served 15 months of a three-year prison sentence.

Film Trivia His all-time favorite monster film is _Creature From The Black Lagoon (1954)_. Grew up watching the "Creature Features" (1971) on TV. This sparked his early interest in the horror/thriller genre. In 1995, the boy he molested (then in his 20s) publicly boycotted the film _Powder_ (1995) to bring attention to Salva`s sexual misdeeds, which contributed to the film`s less-than-stellar box office. Grew up in San Francisco. Is a convicted child molester. Confessed in 1988 to five felony counts of sexual relations with a twelve year old boy who he videotaped in sexual situations.
