Simon Woods (born 1980) is an English actor best known for his role as Octavian in Season 2 of the British-American television series Rome. He also recently starred as Dr Harrison in the BBC1 costume drama series Cranford, whose arrival in the village "sets female hearts racing."
He attended Eton College, then read English at Magdalen College, Oxford. Woods filmed Pride & Prejudice with Rosamund Pike, an ex-girlfriend. Joe Wright mentioned in an interview how professional both the actors were during filming. He was also an active supporter of the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, having befriended her daughter Chelsea whilst they were at Oxford together
