 [The committee agreed to delay the submittal by two weeks.] As long as Dave is comfortable, ... I`m OK with it. This is not meant to detract from their performance, Poor effort. Our second-half defense wasn`t perfect, but boy, they showed a lot of effort. We found our fighters (in the second half), those who will fight for us on the field. If I hear any of you were out there throwing eggs, you`re not playing on Saturday. I`ll tell you what, for the rest of the week, I don`t want any of you going across Myrtle Street. We had opportunities, we had many of them, and River Ridge played outstanding defense. (And) I`m damned proud of our defense, they did an outstanding job. Just a broken play where the quarterback scrambled around and found someone open. Other than that, hats goes off to our defense. That spot was absolutely atrocious, When we got to the stadium, there were 5,000 people and it was a playoff-like atmosphere. Our offense was just stymied against a great East Wake defense. They`re probably the best we faced [this season]. We were able to run tonight, ... We controlled the line of scrimage, our O-line was outstanding and the runners did a great job. | ||
