 Our offensive line did an outstanding job tonight. I thought if we would win the battle up front we would win the game. When your tailbacks are averaging over 12 yards a carry, that says a lot about the big boys up front. If those (reports) are accurate, somebody at the other end of the line in Washington should have been more tuned in to what was going on, We certainly could not have stopped it, but we certainly could have responded more quickly, Our defense really stepped up in the second half. I knew this type of offense would give us some problems, but I thought (the defense) did a tremendous job. Like last week, our defense added a spark with turnovers. Chris Newson returned a pick 42 yards to give us a 12-6 lead. Then Kaleb Prothro intercepted a pass in the Hot Springs end zone to stop a drive. Two turnovers were key for us tonight. Russell Denton recovered a fumble on our 45 which led to our first score. Then Aaron Cupp picked off a pass late in the first half. Sometimes you do that when you don`t need to, and I guess you could be criticized for wasting resources, ... But that`s not been my experience. I`m here to make senior partner in my firm, We used a two tailback system tonight. I thought Marquis Browning and Rodney Bragg did a great job splitting time. We were able to have fresh legs going into the fourth quarter. The offense got off to a shaky start but found their rhythm late in the game. | ||
