 Those 22 deserved to be in for another game after that terrific result last weekend. Mark and Gareth are key men in our lineout, which is a concern, but we`ve worked hard this week to overcome that. This has exceeded my expectations. I planned for the worst-case scenario that we would not win. This is a dream start, a huge bonus, a massive four points for us. The players have made their mark, and that was the first of 22 league games, I don`t think anything has changed. We are still going to fight and scrap for everything. My hopes for Newcastle are the same as they were before Bath, I`m going to have to rethink my strategy, And, while there is huge competition for places now, those 22 players deserved to be in for another game after that terrific result last weekend. It`s not going to happen many times in a season, to go in with an unchanged 22, I wasn`t expecting that, to be honest. It is a dream start, it will really lift the confidence and make my job a lot easier. | ||
