In 1977 Parker created the Raydio, an Acid Jazz and R&B group. The Band is: Vincent Bohnam, Jerry Knight, Rpj and Arnell Carmichael.
Made two music videos for his 1982 Top 5 hit "The Other Woman", both of which MTV refused to play, and both were related to his being African-American. At the time, MTV would not show videos of African-American artists (Michael Jackson`s "Billie Jean" was the first in 1983.). Furthermore, one of the videos depicted him dating and flirting with white women.
