She spent 5 seasons playing Damon Wayans` sassy daughter, Kady Kyle, on the ABC hit comedy, My Wife and Kids, and now she is ready for her close up on the silver screen. Actress Parker McKenna Posey will appear opposite a stellar cast this summer when she stars as Elizabeth in the movie Alice, the screen adaptation of the Phyllis Reynolds-Naylor novel. Shot on location last fall in St. Louis, Parker teams with Alyson Stoner, Lucas Grabeel, Penny Marshall and Luke Perry for a story about a pre-teen girl who copes with the recent death of her mother and the change of a new city.

Most young actors and actresses begin their careers after months, often years of auditions and cattle calls before their star begins to shine. Not Parker who, when she was only 4-years-old, her mother took her to her first audition – My Wife and Kids. In true Hollywood fashion she nailed her lines and got the part as Kady Kyle opposite series star`s Damon Wayans and Tisha Campbell Martin. The show established Parker as one of Hollywood`s finest young actors who has since appeared in several motion pictures, primetime television series and as a familiar face in many major brand advertising campaigns. She is currently the face of Limited Too`s national ad campaign gracing the cover of their summer catalog and in window displays across the country.

Posey comments, "I`m really fortunate to have the ability to act in films and television and still have a supportive life at home and with my friends. Acting is fun and it gives me a chance to experience so much, travel to cool locations and to meet some of my idols, but in the end it`s about my family and friends and spending time with them."

In addition to her years on My Wife and Kids, Parker has appeared in the films Soul Plane, Meet the Santa`s, Virginia, Elf Academy and This is Real. On the small screen she has appeared in the Whoopi Goldberg produced, Strong Medicine for the Lifetime Network, NYPD Blue in which her dramatic acting chops were tested and won rave reviews, Hallmark Family Channel`s Meet the Santa`s and more.

One of her fondest memories was when she was cast as a young Macy Gray in Gray`s video, "Sweet, Sweet Baby."

In June 2004 Parker made her stage debut when she appeared in the Blank Theater Group`s production of Restless Peace. The play was part of the Young Playwright`s Festival held at the Hudson Theater in Hollywood, CA. Parker received rave reviews for her role. In summer 2005 she followed up her appearance with another stellar performance in the Blank Theatre Group`s Shock Therapy.

In recognition of her outstanding performance on My Wife and Kids, Parker was nominated for a Young Artist Award for Best Actress.

When she is not honing her guitar and vocal skills, Parker spends her off time with friends and playing with her teacup Yorkie, Maxwell. She loves to listen to music including her favorites Mariah Carey, Gwen Stefani, Panic at the Disco, Fallout Boy, Ciara, T.I, Justin Timberlake, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Beyoncé and many others.

Acting isn`t the only thing on the horizon for her, "I really love forensic pathology and sciences. I`m fascinated by the challenge of figuring out the cause of death and what happened at a crime scene. I know it`s an odd profession to dream about as most of my friends just want to be veterinarians or work at a zoo, but I really want something that involves mystery and a puzzle to solv
