Nora "Dodo" Denney (3 September 1927 – 20 November 2005) was an American stage, television, and film actress. One of her most notable roles was as Mrs. Teavee in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, starring Gene Wilder and Jack Albertson. She was initially the producers` second choice behind Jean Stapleton who did the pilot for All in the Family instead. She was also memorable as the Bloomingdales shop lady who assisted Daryl Hannah`s mermaid character in buying new clothes in Splash. Denney`s sons, Dix and John, are the founders of the Los Angeles based Denney died on 20 November 2005, aged 78, after a brief illness at her home in Crestline, California.
