Nico Papatakis, or Nikos Papatakis, (born July 19, 1918) is a Greek film director. He was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Legend has it that photographer Herbert Tobias nicknamed the then-fashion model (later singer) Christa Päffgen "Nico" after Papatakis, his ex-boyfriend. His debut film, Les Abysses, was entered into the 1963 Cannes Film Festival.
He also worked as a nightculb owner.
