 Historically, it`s been hard to make the transition from radio to television and from television to radio. They involve different psychologies. But he`s a talented guy, and I think this is a smart way for him to go. This is not that unusual for there to be fluctuations from one year to another, especially the year after elections. Political talk radio is dependent on the excitement of the political scene. He isn`t just a political talk show host, he`s a showman, He is irreplaceable. Stern is one of a kind, among the very, very small handful of people that were THE broadcasters of the 20th century ? and carrying into the 21st. Half of (the dilemma) has been caused by technological advancements and affordable portable technology, ... and the other half has been the corporatization of radio. It has taken away from the excitement of diversity, that every market was so different. God is going to make sure what is to happen, happens, ... irregardless if you recognize it or not. A lot of people in political talk radio are still on that left-versus-right formula because it`s been working. You can be sure that if it continues to show a decline in ratings, they`ll alter the course. When young people no longer see radio as the center of their culture... when young people stop doing something and it ceases to be an icon, an institution in their lives, it doesn`t bode well for the future, I`m ready. It`s time. Shout it out loud, ... It`s time. It`s time. It`s time. Radio faces an uncertain future, but doom is not around the corner. It`s just over the horizon. | ||
