 The average stay of a visitor is 3 1/2 days. There`s a lot for people to do in that time, and not just gaming. There`s shopping, there`s fine dining, and shorter just works better. Las Vegas is not willing to take risks. That`s why going from Broadway to here seems like a natural. Things come in pre-branded, or pre-proven. Casino execs can go to Broadway and see how things play in front of a real audience. The possibilities are endless. The church can be used for hire [rent] as a place for weddings, christenings, or engagements. Youth-oriented groups have shown interest also as an exhibition marquee. Or it can even serve as the backdrop to a catwalk for fashion shows. There wasn`t a trail that led to an assumption of (Nevin) trying to influence anything. I can`t think of one theater that doesn`t have cup holders. Drinking is part of having a good time. Coming from Broadway (where he was company manager of `Phantom`), you learn very quickly you must support and assist the casino in their overall goals if you expect that philosophy to be reciprocal. | ||
