Lynn Hamilton was born on April 25th, 1930. She has appeared on stage, on television and has also made several films. Some of her stage appearances have included The Face of a Hero, The Miracle Worker, The Skin of Our Teeth, and Only In America. Some of her film roles have been in Lady Sings the Blues, Brother John and The Learning Tree.
It seems to have been on television, where she is most well known though. She has appeared in a great many television series including Sanford and Son, Gunsmoke, The Rockford Files, Hunter, Murphy Brown, Rituals, Generations, Dangerous Women and of course The Waltons. Lynn has continued to return to the set of The Waltons to appear in several of their 1990`s movie length specials, as the Walton family`s good friend and neighbour, Verdie.
