Mini Biography
One of the first two contract players for Walt Disney Studios, she made her debut in Song of the South (1946) as a poor white child fascinated by the stories told by Uncle Remus. She made three more films as a child star, then left film for over 10 years. She returned as an ingenue in Rock, Pretty Baby (1956), and followed that by several teen films, retiring from Hollywood completely at the end of the 1970, except for a brief cameo in Grotesque (1988). Trivia
While a student at Wilson High in Long Beach California in 1956, she was working as a box office cashier at the Lakewood Center Theater when it was held up. The movie playing was her first film, Song of the South (1946).
