Leslie Howard Biography

Very close friends with Humphrey Bogart. They were so close in fact that Humphrey and Lauren named their daughter after him in honor of his memory. Leslie was very instrumental in Bogie getting the role in the classic film also starring Bette Davis, Petrified Forest.

I`m not allowed to edit the biography section of this page, but I`d like to say to anyone interested: It wasn`t Bogie who helped Leslie get the part in The Petrified Forest; It was Leslie who insisted Bogie be case, stating `No Bogart, No Howard`. Leslie was a lot more famous than Bogie at that time (1936).
