Kacey graduated high school when she was 17 and went straight to college to study forensics, but dropped out in the first year. She entered the adult film industry in the summer of 2000, one month after her eighteenth birthday. Her then-boyfriend, Paul, convinced her to star in adult movies in California. She is seen with her boyfriend in the movie Bring `um Young 2 made by Anabolic video. Her first video was Oral Consumption #2 with Erik Everhard.

In her films, she often engages in "extreme" sexual acts like anal sex, analingus, double penetration and cum swallowing. She also participates in scenes involving multiple African American males, known in the porn industry as an interracial gangbang.

Keely`s stage name "Kacey" or "Kasey" is derived from the first letters of her real first and last names. The letter "K" in her first name, Keely and the letter "C" in her last name Coles, when combined, are initialed as "K.C.". So, instead of thinking of a totally different name, she decided to use her initials and instead spell out her new stage name as "Kacey" or "Kasey".

She took a short year and a half hiatus in 2000, reportedly deciding to do so in the middle of a scene with Vince Voyeur. During this time she went back to school and worked at a "normal" job.
