 we`re much further down the road than we were a year ago. We`re at a critical turning point. We can see where we`re at and take off. Or we can sit back and slowly bleed to death. It`s great that we`re showing some positive improvement, but it`s all relative. We still have a long way to go. There is a lot of good local talent we want to see tied in more to the corporate board level. You might say that part of the responsibility we had to have on the job carried through. We have a long way to go even to get on the map. Sometimes when you`ve had entities out there that have just been kind of quietly chugging along, sort of doing the right thing, you don`t always hear a lot about them. I think as we get our work force system here more aligned, you`re going to see the benefits of these initiatives such as Milwaukee Jobs Initiative, which had that early foresight about how you do this right. Last week we raised supplies and took them to the Wal-Mart in Germantown. This week we brought in items for the people coming to dinner tonight. Once people see it, they are deeply impacted by it and so they tell all their friends. It`s the kind of exhibit that really changes the way people look at life. We had the same responsibility as other jurors. Both of us had been on juries before and we took it seriously. | ||
