 We agreed that we`ll charge for space rent and they`ll charge us for students in concurrent enrollment and at the end of the semester we`ll balance the books, ... I`m sure we`ll be within a few hundred dollars of one another. It`s important to get back on an even keel and back where we should be for the benefit of our kids and their kids. I look forward to working with the community in a heightened effort. I respect all the members of the police department. I know I`ll work well with them and the other members of the city who I`ve been working with for 25 years. He made arrangements to get those kids back to her, ... He took that all upon himself. City outreach teams have been working aggressively to convince these individuals to accept services. There`s no question that we`re dealing with a population that is difficult to engage, but we`re making some headway and some of them are accepting services. We have a good working relationship with a lot of the neighborhoods. We want to keep that, to make Decatur a safer place for everyone. The things that have really struck me are just the overwhelming support from the communities and the churches themselves, ... People have provided aid to these families even before the government`s been there to help them. While we continue to see a court monitor as unnecessary and counter productive, we are open to finding ways to work together to better address issues of concern to the community. We`re just watching the other things unfold in the east. We`re fully operational. They hadn`t wasted any time at all to try to return these people`s lives to somewhat of a sense of normalcy, I`ve really enjoyed the series, just playing again. | ||
