A slim striking beauty, Jacqueline Gadsden is perhaps best remembered co-starring opposite Clara Bow as the elegant "itless it" Adela Van Norman in the classic silent-comedy, It (1927).
Born in Lompoc, California on 3 August, 1900, Gadsden only enjoyed brief success as a minor leading lady, however, she played numerous supporting roles along side some of the eminent actors of the time (Lon Chaney Sr., John Gilbert, Clara Bow, Renee Adoree, Eleanor Boardman, etc.) and worked with some of the most reknowned fimmakers (Tod Browning, Lois Weber, and King Vidor.
Though to much astonishment, Gadsden would make her last film at the dawn of the "talkie" era, starring opposite Lionel Barrymore in the Sci-Fi part-talkie/silent The Mysterious Island (1929) as Jane Daly.
