Born January 20th, 1987 in Tulsa, Oklahoma Ivy Rose Levan was raised in the deep south of Bentonville, Arkansas. Now a model, singer, actress and an animal rights activist who lives in Hollywood California.
Ivy has always had a passion for music and describes it as ‘her lifestyle’. “I didn’t wake up one day and think, I want to be a singer now. I was born with the passion, it’s something that keeps me content and I couldn’t see myself doing anything other than being a musician.” Because it’s really hard to become succesful in the music industry nowadays, Ivy moved to L.A. and started modeling. She has done many runway shows for numerous designers and local companies in California such as Ashley Paige and DVS. You might have also seen her in Apparel, JC Penny and Payless commercials.
From then on she worked her way up into the music industry, and is currently working on her first album. She was signed by Virgin Records in 2006 and is currently with EMI. Ivy is responsible for writing both her music and lyrics, and is currently working on her album with her producer Greg Wells who has worked with many succesful artists. Her music is a mix of a lot of different genres such as rock, soul, triphop, goth and has a lot of 80’s synth and electronic influences. She can also play piano and guitar. Ivy has also written songs for other singers such as Vanessa Hudgens, and is also planning on passing her demos to other artists.
Ivy is currently filming a movie called ‘Cue the Dead Fashion Model’, as the female lead of Cynthia, in which she plays an alive and a dead girl.
Ivy has also appeared in many commercials and films and you might have seen her in videoclips of ‘Lostprophets – 4 Am Forever’ and ‘The Blackout ft. Ian Watkins – It’s High Tide Baby’. She is very good friends with both bands, and she’s dating Lostprophets’ lead singer Ian Watkins.
Ivy lives a healthy Vegan lifestyle and plays a big role in animal rights, doing work with PETA and many anti-fur campaigns. Also a talented artist, Miss Levan appears to be designing her album artwork personally and art is her second love.
