Grandson of Ozzie Nelson, and Harriet Hilliard. Brother of Tracy Nelson, Matthew Nelson, and Sam Nelson. Nephew of David Nelson, Mark Harmon, and Kelly Harmon. His maternal grandparents are the football great (and later sport broadcaster) Tom Harmon, and the 1940s "B" movie actress Elyse Knox. Son of Ricky Nelson, and Kristin Harmon. Twin brother of singer Matthew Nelson and brother of Sam Nelson and Tracy Nelson. Cousin of Teri Nelson. Ex-brother-in-law of William R. Moses. (2008) Gunnar is now working on his side project band "Scrap Metal". He also, along with brother Matt has reunited with Nelson bandmate Bobby Rock to tour extensivly through out the U.S. Developed a partnership with St. Judes cancer research and Dogfessions creator Nikki Mastouki to create "Rockfessions".
