American actress Grace McDonald spent her entire film career at Universal. From 1940 to 1945, McDonald sang and tap-danced her way through such brisk "B" tunefests as Dancing on a Dime (1940), Give Out Sisters (1942) and My Gal Loves Music (1944). She also withstood the slapstickery of Abbott and Costello in It Ain`t Hay (1943) and Olsen and Johnson`s See My Lawyer (1945). Grace McDonald`s most curious Universal assignment was 1944`s Destiny, in which, despite her considerable dancing skills, she played her entire part sitting down!
