Throughout SM`s relationship with DT he was mostly in Cardiff, probably didn`t get to spend much time together... but with GM its different. They might be more closer connected then SM and DT were, and dont forget that DT`s mum died shortly after SM left for the US. Must have been hard for him. It might be that DT and GM have discussed his US move, IF it happens. They might be able to keep it working. Don`t forget plenty of UK actors work in the US but their familes are back in the UK. If they are really serious, then I would think they could work something out. We know GM visited DT in the US in October for a week, when he was out there for 3 weeks. He may have broken SM off when she went to the US but he was going through a difficult time... it might be that he is in the right place with GM and wants to keep it going regardless of where he has to work. He may move to the US if Rex is picked up and becomes successful but that`s a looong way off. They won`t even know if the pilot is picked up till next year and even if it is, it`s unheard of to shoot an entire 22-ep season right off the bat. The initial order usually only takes 2-3 months to film. Then another wait until those episodes air, and if they`re a hit they shoot the remainder of the season. Even if Rex is successful which is a big if, I doubt he`d sell his house and move there permanently.
