FLAKE GIRL`S SWEET RETURN
Nearly two decades after her silk underwear-clad figure, provocatively nibbling a chocolate bar, sent sales of Cadbury Flake soaring, Deborah Leng is poised to return to modelling.
I can disclose that Deborah, now 45 and a mother of three, has signed with leading agency Models1, along with fellow TV advert pin-up Sharon Maughan, wife of actor Trevor Eve.
Yesterday Deborah, the former partner of Queen drummer Roger Taylor, was enjoying the Cartier-sponsored Goodwood Festival Of Speed with the couple`s children Rufus, 17, Tiger Lily, 13, and Lola, eight.
"I got in contact with a friend at Models1 and I am in the process of making a new portfolio," she tells me. "I shall soon be traipsing the streets on my way to castings."
Once a squeeze of David Bowie and David Essex, she created a sensation in 1987 when she became the iconic Flake girl. But she was axed three years later for being "too sexy".
Looking at the classic cars on show, she said: "Since I was tiny, I always wanted an E-type Jaguar.
"On my 40th birthday, Roger said I could either have the car or have a party. I chose the party but I don`t regret it, as it was pretty spectacular."
