Claudette Nevins made her Broadway debut with George C. Scott in The Wall, the play based on John Hersey`s novel about the Jewish uprising in the Warsaw ghetto. Also on Broadway, she appeared in Neil Simon`s Plaza Suite with Mr. Scott and Maureen Stapleton. At Lincoln Center, she played Julie Danton in Danton`s Death and also co-starred with Brock Peters in the national Broadway tour of The Great White Hope, which brought her to Los Angeles.
She is a member of the Matrix Theatre Company, where she appeared in Dangerous Corner, Mad Forest, Habeas Corpus, and The Water Children. Her other stage work in L.A. includes: Passion Play (Taper), Isn`t it Romantic (Pasadena), The Philadelphia Story (Court), P.S. Your Cat Is Dead (Geffen), A Comedy of Errors (John Anson Ford), Deathtrap (San Bernardino), Blithe Spirit (La Mirada/Lobero), and with LA Theatre Works, Cakewalk, An American Daughter and After the Fall (Skirball). Interspersed were several television series: Headmaster with Andy Griffith, Husbands, Wives and Lovers, and Married. She has played recurring roles on Melrose Place, Seventh Heaven and JAG, and has guest-starred in numerous Movie of the Weeks and series episodes, most recently Strong Medicine, The Agency, Judging Amy, and Without a Trace. Her feature film appearances include Sleeping with the Enemy, Tuff Turf, and All the Marbles.
Regional theatre work includes: The Hostage, The Homecoming, The Little Foxes, Major Barbara, Twelfth Night, King Arthur (Atlanta); The Cherry Orchard, The Iceman Cometh, Ring Round the Moon (Washington, DC). Claudette is a graduate of New York University. She and her family now make their home in Los Angeles.
