Christopher (Chris) Cuomo (born August 9, 1970 in Queens, New York) is the news anchor for ABC`s Good Morning America. He is the youngest son of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo and younger brother of New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo. Cuomo began his journalism career as a political policy analyst for CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, and later for Fox News Channel. In 1999, Cuomo joined ABC News as a correspondent, and in 2003 he was named co-anchor of Primetime. He began his current stint as news anchor on Good Morning America in August 2006. However, statements made on the air have raised questions about his credibility, stating that Prince Harry of the British Royal Family "has been over in Afghanistan fighting because he`s expendable." He tried to clarify things by adding "The reason that Harry is allowed to be in Afghanistan is because he`s not the heir to the throne. William`s not allowed to be there," though that statement is false as Prince William is also lined up to go there with the Royal Navy.

Cuomo is a licensed attorney. A New York native, he attended The Albany Academy, received his Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University, and his undergraduate degree from Yale University. He married magazine editor Cristina Greeven Cuomo in 2001 and is the father of a daughter, Isabella (b. 2003), and a son, Mario Nicholas Cuomo (b. December 22, 2005).
