Bernard Coulson was born in 1965 and grew up in Vancouver, British Columbia. He graduated from Magee High School in 1983, and briefly lived with Brad Pitt when the two were beginning their careers.

Bernie Coulson has been a prolific actor since he was three and his mother put him in a play to channel his hyperactivity. An agent spotted him as a pirate swinging across the stage in Peter Pan, and there began a long list of credits, some shared with Ian Tracey, including Huckleberry Finn & His Friends, Da Vinci`s Inquest, Milgaard and the feature film Rupert`s Land.

Coulson`s feature film credits include The Accused, Bullies, Loverboy, Eddie & The Cruisers II, Highway Man, Cabin By the Lake, Turbulence 3 and John L`Écuyer`s St. Jude. Coulson received a Genie nomination for his role in Bruce McDonald`s Hard Core Logo. His many television credits include Big Sound, Cold Squad, Millennium, Sliders, Lonesome Dove, The X-Files, My Friend Frankie, Life Goes On, Murder She Wrote, Nelson Rider, MacGyver and The Beachcombers.
