Ben came into the world on 14 October 1980, along with his twin brother James. He studied at Samuel Whitbread Community College in Clifton and went on to train at RADA, from where he graduated in 2003. He won the Most Promising Newcomer Award at the 2001 British Independent Film Awards for his role in `My Brother Tom`. Ben was also the youngest actor to play Hamlet in such a high-scale production, for which he was nominated for numerous awards. Ben is perhaps best known for his breakthrough role as Hamlet, and his role as the lead character in Tom Tykwer`s film Perfume: The Story of a Murderer.
