Angie Cepeda (full name Angelica Maria Cepeda Jimenez) was born on August 2, 1974 under the sign of Leo in Cartagena of Indias (Colombia) . Even though she is from Cartagena, she was grown up in Barranquilla.

Biography and Career :

Her parents, Jose Cepeda and Yadira Jimenez got divorced a long time ago, and Angie Cepeda grew with her sisters Lorna and Yvette. Angie Cepeda is the youngest of the three.

Angie Cepeda is quite home-loving and likes to spend a lot of time with her familiy, nephews and nieces whenever she can. She is a cute, nice person, very outgoing and simple. Angie Cepeda is very independent with respect to her life.
Angie Cepeda likes to have her own space and enjoys loneliness. Angie Cepeda usually takes walks with her dog Luna. She is also fond of slee
ping, reading, listening to music, and cooking. Angie doesn`t like to go out a lot. She`d rather stay at home with her boyfriend Diego or with her family. Angie Cepeda loves the sea and doesn`t like to live far from it. She has a scubadiving degree and she practices this sport whenenver she can. She also likes Italian and French movies.

There was a time she thought of studying Publishing, however she discovered her vocation in drama and moved out to Bogotį and stayed with an aunt. Angie Cepeda began her drama courses, then she was contracted by a beer company and made some advertisements for it.

Next, she played some bit parts in several soap operas and movies in Colombia. Her lucky break was when Angie got a role in the soap opera "Las Juanas", getting the attention of some TV producers who offered her interesting jobs in prime time shows; most memorable of them was her leading role in "Luz Maria" (1998) , co-starring Christian Meier and Rosalinda Serfaty.

In the cinematic world, Peruvian director Francisco Lombardi convinced her to portray a whore called La Colombiana in Pantaleon y las Visitadoras (1999). It was a smash hit in Colombia, Spain, Peru and Argentina and got good reviews for her performance.

She was about to win the prize as the Best female actress in many cinema festivals. She has also made movies in Colombia, Spain, and Argentina.
