Andrew Dominik (born 1967) is a New Zealand-born Australian film director and screenwriter. He has lived in Australia since he was 2 years old and graduated from Melbourne`s Swinburne Film School in 1988.[1]
His career in films began in 2000 when he directed Chopper based on notorious Australian criminal Mark Brandon Read, starring Eric Bana and Vince Colosimo.[2] Chopper received generally positive reviews[3], and Bana was praised for his portrayal of Chopper. His next film was The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, starring Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck. Trivia and QuotesQuotes It was impossible to make a film without a movie star, but it`s very difficult to find a part you can cast one in that doesn`t seem like miscasting. Making movies is hard.
