Since his divorce, Lachey has been dating T.V. personality Vanessa Minnillo. As of April 2007, the couple officially moved in together, purchasing and apartment in New York City`s Atelier Condo Building, as well as sharing Lachey`s home in Bel Air, California. In June 2007, the couple was surreptitiously photographed nude while vacationing in Mexico. Lachey and Minillo sat down with OK Magazine to discuss the photographs, and along with the interview deal, OK agreed to purchase the photos for a reported $800,000.

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have called it quits, reps for each confirm to PEOPLE.

"They have amicably split but remain good friends who still greatly care for one another," Minnillo`s rep tells PEOPLE of the couple, who began dating in 2006.

The split comes after a rash of breakup rumors and reports, which were shot down. Earlier this month Minnillo told PEOPLE that she and Lachey were "very much still on."

Though they have split, a source says Minnillo, 28, and Lachey, 35, are "still friends. It was the right thing for both of them to do."
