he was`nt in love with fran he was just acting. they are just close friends. fran is`nt even in love with him she has a boyfriend.and yes they make a cute couple, but he is married and in love and she is in love. i`m sure there in touch and love each other as friends i mean i would love charles as a friend if was fran. and they are good actors that make their love look real and they got lives outside the tv world they are in their 50s and still turn heads so obviously their married or dating.
