Shortly after doing photo shoots for companies such as Seventeen, Venus Swimwear and Clairol, Playboy gave Adams the title of "Miss November 1992". Adams was dating the owner of Elite Model Managament (John Casablancas) around this time and he appeared with her in one of the photos for her pictorial. Adams also appeared in numerous Playboy videos, as well as a cameo appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman, and at some point was voted the "Best Lesbian Sex Symbol" in New York City.
After dating Casablancas, Adams married an Italian investment banker, whom she subsequently divorced.
