Sharon loved Roman unconditionally, despite the fact his that promiscuous ways continued even after their marriage. He loved her, but he also loved bachelorhood. When she first learned that she was pregnant, she was terribly excited but hid the fact from Roman, because he had stated that he didn`t want to have children. She told him shortly before she would have started to "show." He quickly warmed up to the idea as much as she had, and they were both excited about their bundle of joy. However, Charles Manson and his "Family" ended that quickly on August 8, 1969, when he murdered Sharon and some friends that had been staying with her while Roman was away. Sharon begged and pleaded with the murderers to "just let [her] have the baby," but that didn`t happen. She was only two weeks away from birth.
Sharon Tate`s unborn baby boy (who died with her) was to be named Paul Richard Polanski.
