Shirley was most definitely the big love of Robert`s life, but I`m so curious as to why they broke up right after Jesse was born. Robert pined for her since the 60`s. It just seems unfortunate. But as long as they`re both happy, that`s all that matters.

Amy that is very interesting info! Would love to hear more about that, if you have any more details. I always found that love triangle to be very interesting, but I had no idea they were together after he and Maureen divorced, much less had a child. Shirley Wilson was Maureen`s younger sister, of whom many famous LZ songs were written: Rain Song, What Is and What Should Never Be, Ten Years Gone. After Robert and Maureen divorced in 1983, he and Shirley lived together until about 1990. She is the mother of Robert`s child Jesse, born in 1990. Shirley is a beautiful, wonderful woman of whom I`ve met a few times.
