Marilyn Ingram was arguably the primary supporter of Peter`s career for over a decade after their initial meeting during 1997.
Tork reciprocated and often had Ingram as his background vocalist and her band as the opening act at his concerts.
Ingram eventualy went on to promote dozens of festivals and events for Tork prior to officially becoming his publicist and manager sometime after 2004. The woman behind the lion`s share of Peter`s major solo (non Monkees) appearances, Marilyn succeeded in getting him back into "red carpet" events in America and his band touring across the states and finally here to the UK.
Although their actual relationship remained uncertain, it fared longer than most, likely due to a bond or trust that was visible on stage and off. It has been said by those in the know that she understood what made Tork tick.
