Not a genuine relationship - just the result of media speculation and gossip. Because Mischa had been single for the best part of a year, the media was desperate to pair her up with anyone they could, and misinterpreted her friendship with Brett Simon as a possible romance.

When she was attending the Sundance Film Festival at the start of 2008 in support of her latest movie, "Assasination of a High School President", rumors began to circulate that Mischa was having a relationship with the movie`s director, Brett Simon.
