He was one of the original 80s brat pack. She was a jobbing actor, known for movies that really didn’t cut the mustard. But the power of ‘Sex and The City’ catapulted Jessica parker into superstardom. We love the fact that she’s quirky, still loves her hubby and has the best wardrobe that money can buy.
********************************************* On May 19, 1997, she married actor Matthew Broderick, to whom she was introduced by her brother. The couple married in a civil ceremony in a historic synagogue on the Lower East Side of Manhattan that is no longer used as a house of worship; both Parker and Broderick (who each have one Jewish parent) consider themselves to be "culturally Jewish." Parker has also defended the state of Israel. "I feel defensive when people say, `How can Israel go in with tanks?`, she says, "What are they supposed to do? Children are being killed by people willing to strap bombs to their bodies and walk into the public market. So Israel`s response to this is to protect its people." The couple`s first child, son James Wilkie Broderick, was born on October 28, 2002. He was named after Broderick`s father, the distinguished Irish-American actor James Broderick. Given her public declarations of support for public schools, school choice advocates are anxious to see if Parker makes good on her 2004 promise to enter James Wilke into the New York City public school system when he turns five in 2007. Parker and Broderick live in New York City and frequent the art. Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick Delighted with Twins By Mike Fleeman Originally posted Tuesday June 23, 2009 Call it bliss & the city! Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick said Tuesday they were "delighted to announce the healthy arrival of their two daughters" – twins born Monday afternoon in Ohio via a surrogate. "The babies are doing beautifully and the entire family is over the moon," the couple say in a statement confirming earlier reports. Born at 3:58 p.m., Marion Loretta Elwell weighed 5 lbs., 11 oz, and Tabitha Hodge Broderick weighed 6 lbs. "Both Hodge and Elwell are family names on Parker`s side," the statement explains. The news first broke in April that the couple were adding to their family by having twin daughters with the help of a surrogate mother. Broderick, 47, and Parker, 44, have a son, James Wilkie, 6.
